The Denuvo defense force will come in here and scream Denuvo has no impact because they don't understand even the basics about how computers work. When they stepped down to 1080p the GPU had more than enough power to handle it and the Denuvo version had a lower framerate as a result. In 4K there was no framerate difference because things were GPU bottlenecked. The Doom pre and post Denuvo tests were actually quite telling here. With a game like Monster Hunter World that is actually surprisingly demanding on the CPU it will hit some people with weaker CPUs. Pretty much everyone had sufficient CPU overhead to run the game, it isn't very demanding. Now with Sonic Mania, that means the game will use more CPU power, but you will probably not see a performance impact. No, but the fact that Denuvo runs the entire game in an obfuscated virtual machine does. ![]()
